The great and the good from the world of literature, culture, politics, show business, cinema, television and so on have all made the Flea Market a favourite. Some of them come to relax incognito, others to seek out ideas for their decoration. Jean-Paul Gaultier, Florent Pagny, Demi Moore, Mathilda May or Charles Pasqua are all regulars to the narrow alleys of the markets where they enjoy sifting through the boxes packed with history.
Other regulars are Sharon Stone, Aznavour, Claudia Schiffer, Richard Gere, Catherine Deneuve, Vincent Lindon, Pierre Cardin, Pierre Arditi, Fanny Ardant, Amanda Lear, Florent Pagny, Faye Dunaway, Emmanuel Chain, Jack Lang, Madelin, Fabius, Yves Galland, Martine Aubry, Julien Dray, Chiara Mastroianni, Gilles Dufour, Cendrine Dominguez, Sharon Stone and her husband Phil Bronstein, Nathalie Garçon, Maxime Leforestier, Nathalie Decoster the sculptor, Anna Galvada, the author, not to mention the European Commissioner Michel Barnier, who never misses an opportunity to wander through the aisles.

The Flea Market has also served as the background to a number of films. Jonathan Dehemme (Silence of the Lambs) shot a remake of "Charade" (Gary Grant and Audrey Hepburn) in Vernaison in May 2001, with Tim Robbins (The Player), Mark Wahlberg (Boogie Nights) and Thandie Newton (Mission Impossible). Similarly Tonie Marshall (Vénus Beauté) was in Jules Vallès market in August 2001 to film "Closer to Paradise" with Catherine Deneuve.
